Mayra A. Acevedo Mercado, Esq.
Mayra is the founder of our firm and concentrates her practice in immigration law. She is admitted to practice law in the State of California.
Prior to opening up her practice she worked at various boutique and large immigration firms in Chicago, San Diego, and CA Central Valley. Mayra has experience in representing clients on family-based immigration cases as well as deportation proceedings in immigration court. During her time in law school, Mayra interned as a law clerk at the San Diego Immigration Court. In that position, she researched and drafted decisions on behalf of the immigration judges.
Mayra is a native of the CA Central Valley. She graduated from the University of California, Merced where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. Mayra is a proud daughter of her immigrant father and takes pride in providing legal guidance to the immigrant community.
She is married and a proud momma of two precious boys. When she is not at work, Mayra loves to spend time with her immediate and extended family! She also loves the beach, exploring new places, and to watch a good game of soccer!
